Hudson Sends Three Wrestlers to Individual State Meet

Gordon Johnson, Tanner Owens and Nick Larson advanced to next week's Wisconsin state individual wrestling meet with strong performances at the WIAA sectional meet held in Marshfield on Saturday, Feb. 19, 2011.

Gordon Johnson was the sectional champion at 119 lbs., Tanner Owens placed second at 135 lbs. and Nick Larson was the sectional champion at 152 lbs. 

Nine other Hudson wrestlers competed at the meet, but only those who finished first and second at sectionals make the state meet.

Kolya Hawksford finished third at 140 lbs. and Derek Schindler finished third at 171 lbs. Zach Lohman (103 lbs.), Nick Nelson (112 lbs.), C.J. Steiner (125 lbs.), Austin Koski (130 lbs.), Ryan Smith (145 lbs.), Dima Hawksford (160 lbs.) and Alex Waldon (285 lbs.) didn't place at sectionals.
