Hudson Soccer Team Ends Season With Overtime Loss in Sectionals

Wausau East defeated the Hudson High School soccer team, 2-1, in overtime on Thursday in a WIAA sectional matchup. The loss has ended the Raiders' season.

Wausau East scored first on a goal by Evan Sorenson at the 65:07 mark. Hudson's Cavan Denning tied the game with a goal at 74:13 off a Micah Pederson assist.

Sorenson struck again 6:15 into overtime to lift Wausau East to the next round of WIAA sectional play.

Hudson goaltender Mitch Rosiejka had eight saves during the match while Wausau East's Mark Priebe stopped 13 Hudson shots.
