Hudson Student Earns Presidential Scholar Distinction
Katelyn M. Baier, a senior at Hudson High School, is one of four Wisconsin students — just 141 nationwide — who earned the prestigious Presidential Scholars award. Her teacher Rick DuBois was also honored with a national award.

Katelyn M. Baier, a senior at Hudson High School, is one of 141 seniors in the country named 2013 Presidential Scholars, according to a press release issued by the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction.
Each student was asked to name his or her most inspiring teacher, and Baier chose Rick DuBois. He will receive a Teacher Recognition Award from the U.S. Department of Education.

“Congratulations to Wisconsin’s Presidential Scholars. The award is considered one ofthe nation’s highest honorsfor graduating high school seniors,” said State Superintendent Tony Evers. “These students, supported by their parents and teachers, have devoted themselves to their studies and made a commitment to excellence and service to community.
