UPDATE: Power Restored to Hudson-Area Xcel Customers

More than 300 homes east of Hudson, and a handful of isolated homes in the city, were without power following a severe storm that hit the area in the early morning hours.

UPDATE (10:45 a.m., June 19, 2012): The Xcel Energy Outage Map now shows that power has been restored to all Hudson-area customers.

In addition, the following statement now appears on Xcel's website: 

A line of severe thunderstorms rolled through north central Wisconsin this morning, Tuesday, June 19, causing outages primarily in the Eau Claire and Chippewa Falls areas. We expect to restore service in these areas by 5 p.m. today. All other Wisconsin area outages should be restored by noon today.

According to the information provided by Xcel, the power went out at 5:45 a.m. and is in the process of being restored. The company expects to have the power back on by 9:30 a.m.
