Three Charged After North Hudson Police, Sheriff's Deputies Execute Drug Raid on Homes

More than 15 North Hudson police officers and Sheriff's deputies executed simultaneous search warrants early Tuesday morning. Three individuals were charged with drug-related felonies as a result of the raids.

More than 15 officers from the and the executed two search warrants simultaneously in the morning of Tuesday, Sept. 27. Three individuals have been charged with drug-related felonies as a result of the raids.

North Hudson residents Vincent D. Nelson, Benjamin E. Vandesande and Joshua E. Barber have been charged with multiple felonies and misdemeanors.

The raids took place at residences in the 500 block and the 700 block of Sixth Street North at about 6:45 a.m. on Tuesday.

According to a press release issued Thursday afternoon by North Hudson Police Chief Mark D. Richert, North Hudson officers worked with county deputies and members of the county's Emergency Response Unit (ERU). The heavy police presence was needed to execute the warrants at the same time to prevent evidence destruction and keep officers safe.
