• Plan Ahead: Highway M Detour in Washington County (gmtoday.com) — Expect major detours if you rely on Highway M in the Town of Jackson, as a two‑mile stretch between Highways T and 60 is closing to through traffic for reconstruction through late September. Local residents and business patrons will still have access, but intersections at Bridge and Sherman roads will also be closed, with signed detours using Highways T, G, and 60. Plan extra time and watch for changing traffic patterns. 
• Lightning strike sparks house fire in Village of Jackson, Wi By Sgt. Brandon Hood (washingtoncountyinsider.com) — A lightning strike sparked two separate structure fires in the Town and Village of Jackson on Wednesday night, closing portions of Highway 60 and Division Road for several hours but leaving the affected home unoccupied. Jackson Fire Department, aided by numerous neighboring departments, battled a major house fire on Division Road and another lightning-related structure fire on Ridgeway Court. Damage estimates for one residence and a vehicle are about $335,000, with more details still pending.
