Indian Trail Assistant Principal Quietly Moved To Bradford After Investigation Into Son's Unearned French Credit; Insiders Say Trust Was Lost (kenoshacountyeye.com) ā Kenosha Unified has quietly reassigned former Indian Trail assistant principal Mercilie Toney to Bradford High School after an investigation into allegations she sought unearned French credit for her son. District records say the claims were āunsubstantiated,ā but provide no final report, and insiders say trust at Indian Trail was damaged. The superintendent has not answered questions about why the move was made.

Robert Alan LoCicero, 80, of Kenosha (racinecountyeye.com) ā Kenosha is mourning the loss of 80āyearāold Robert āBobā LoCicero, a lifelong resident who worked more than three decades as a painter for Kenosha Unified School District. Family and friends remember his creativity, love of sports, and inventive spirit that kept him bowling and golfing despite physical challenges. A celebration of his life is planned for September, with memorial gifts suggested to the American Heart Association.

Edward William Maurer, 100, of Kenosha (racinecountyeye.com) ā Kenosha is saying goodbye to 100-year-old Navy veteran Edward Maurer, whose long life included decades at Eaton Dynamatic, years in the Kenosha Municipal Golf League, and daily walks well into his nineties. Family and friends can attend visitation July 21 at Piasecki Funeral Home and a funeral that afternoon at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church in Kenosha.

James Peter Skendziel, 86, of Kenosha (racinecountyeye.com) ā Family and friends in Kenosha are preparing to honor 86-year-old James āJimā Skendziel, remembered for his years at Kenosha AMC/Chrysler, service as an EMT in Somers, and deep devotion to his grandchildren. Visitation, funeral, livestream, and graveside services are all scheduled in Kenosha on July 11, giving the community several ways to pay their respects.

Kenosha Leaders Condemn AntiāImmigrant Posters as HateāIncident Concerns Grow (latinonewsnetwork.com) ā Community, faith, and civil rights leaders in Kenosha are urging residents to report disturbing antiāimmigrant posters that recently appeared across the city, now under active police investigation. Speakers at a local press conference called the signs intimidating and unāAmerican, warning they reflect rising hate incidents nationally and here at home. Residents are asked to notify the mayorās office if they see a poster so it can be documented and removed.
