- Dane County officials are seeking two local artists to exhibit their work in Germany. The artists will spend two weeks in Kassel, Germany participating in the EUARCA+ 2022 arts camp. Applications from artists living in Dane County will be accepted until March 14 at 4 p.m.(Press Release Desk)
- A new center is trying to become the cultural home for Madison's Black community. The Center for Black Excellence announced that they have already begun fundraising for the construction of the site, which they hope to open in the fall of 2023. The planned location of the center is on Park Street and will host a range of Black arts events and speakers. (WMTV - NBC15)
- The Wisconsin Union Theater and University Opera will present a production of "Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street" in March. More than 70 UW-Madison students are involved in the production, which is scheduled to run from March 4-8. Tickets go on sale tomorrow, Feb. 4, and are available through the Campus Arts Ticketing office. (Isthmus)
