- The Madison City Council will soon decide whether to use a federal grant to fund six more police jobs in 2023. Madison's police department has long been known for its emphasis on community and problem-solving policing, with various groups and initiatives to further that mission. Under the terms of the grant, the department would need to use the money and hired officers for a new "trust- and legitimacy-building initiative." (Madison.com)
- East-side businesses and organizations are teaming up to hold a COVID-19 vaccine clinic on Saturday, Feb. 12 at Barrymore Theatre. The clinic will offer Pfizer's vaccines and booster shots for individuals 12 and older from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. or until supplies last. Attendees can enjoy free pizza and Nutkrak at the event, but those with bigger appetites can walk over to Harmony Bar & Grill and enjoy brunch burgers until 3:00 p.m. (Channel3000.com - WISC-TV3)
