The 10 Best Colleges In Wisconsin, And Their Acceptance Rates, According To New 2027 Rankings (patch.com) — Madison residents can celebrate as the University of Wisconsin-Madison is named the top college in Wisconsin and ranks 44th nationally in Niche's new 2027 list. The rankings highlight UW-Madison's strong academics, value, and student experience, while also comparing it with other leading schools across the state and country. 
2. Madison travelers gain nonstop service to three warm-weather destinations (fox47.com) — If you fly out of Madison, you'll have more nonstop options to warm-weather spots this fall and winter, including Miami, Fort Myers, and Phoenix. American, Sun Country, and Breeze are rolling out seasonal routes from late October through April, with some schedules expanding for spring break travelers.
3. MMSD sees increase in scores, participation for Advance Placement exams (wmtv15news.com) — Families in Madison's public schools are seeing more students challenge themselves with AP courses and succeeding. MMSD reports a 48% jump in students taking at least one AP exam since 2021-22, along with more qualifying scores and hundreds earning AP Scholar honors and distinctions.

Wisconsin football preps for high-stakes season opener against No. 4 Notre Dame (wmtv15news.com) — Madison football fans can look ahead to a huge season opener as the Wisconsin Badgers prepare to face No. 4 Notre Dame on Sunday.
