🌱 Slick Roads After Snowstorm + Protestors Rally For Wilson

The quickest way to get caught up on the most important things happening today in Madison.

Up and at 'em, Madison! It's Friday, so let's get you started with everything you need to know going on today in town.

First, today's weather:

A couple of afternoon squalls. High: 41 Low: 6.

Here are the top 3 stories today in Madison:

  1. Road conditions in Madison are expected to be slick this morning following the winter storm last night. Streets Superintendent Charlie Romines reminded residents that residential roads will not be salted or plowed unless there are three inches or more of snow on the road. The Streets Division is asking drivers this morning to prepare for a "slow and sloppy" commute. (WMTV - NBC15)
  2. Protestors gathered on Wednesday to shut down a street where Quadren Wilson was shot by law enforcement officers last week. The protestors demanded that authorities release the names of the officers who shot Wilson while he was in his car near the intersection of Eastpark Boulevard and American Parkway. The protest comes after the Madison Police Department issued a statement on Monday claiming that no Madison officers fired their weapons during the incident or witnessed the shooting. (WMTV - NBC15)
  3. Art Walk Middleton is seeking exhibitors from around the Madison area to display their art. Interested artists from Dane County can apply online and will be vetted by the Middleton Arts Committee. The annual art exhibit will return May 14 from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. following a two-year hiatus due to the pandemic. (HNGnews.com)
