  1. Workforce shortages are taking a toll on local Madison restaurants as well as employees. The restaurant industry in Wisconsin lost 22% of its workforce during the pandemic, according to the Wisconsin Restaurant Association, but Dane County lost 44%. (Madison Commons)
  2. A stray bullet went through a family's home on the Southwest Side on Sunday morning. No one was injured, and it is not believed that the family was targeted. (Channel3000)
  3. In this Q&A, Andi Cloud—the first and current Indigenous storyteller-in-residence at the Madison Public Library—discusses how she hopes to better connect the community to Ho-Chunk culture. Cloud's two month residency will include interactive events like art workshops, digital stories, and both in-person and virtual exhibits. (The Cap Times)
  4. The City of Madison and Freewheel Bicycle Co., a nonprofit tackling transportation justice and teaching people how to maintain bikes, have teamed up to create the Madison Bicycle Center. The Center, located at 202 S. Pinckney St., wants to make the downtown commute easier for cyclists by offering secure storage, quick repairs and a bike wash station. (WORT)
