City of Manitowoc no longer allowing comments on its Facebook page (wbay.com) — The City of Manitowoc has shut off comments and direct messages on its main Facebook page, steering residents instead to official channels like phone and email for questions and complaints. The page will still share city news and updates, while some department and attraction pages may continue allowing comments. 
2. Construction on the New Lakeshore Humane Society Building Has Begun (seehafernews.com) — Construction is underway on the new Lakeshore Humane Society shelter on Columbus Street in Manitowoc, giving the organization much more room to care for animals and welcome adopters. Backed by a major $1.5 million donation and strong community support, the project’s cost has risen to $5.4 million, but leaders say they’re on track and hope to open by year’s end.
3. Historic sailboat Utopia reaches Washington Island on Lake Michigan voyage (wbay.com) — A historic 77-foot sailboat that left Manitowoc Monday evening has safely reached Washington Island after a nearly 24-hour Lake Michigan crossing, partly under motor when the wind died. The Utopia’s crew includes a retired Manitowoc Fire & Rescue captain, and organizers say the five-day trip toward Sturgeon Bay is meant to share stories, teamwork, and the boat’s postwar history with visitors along the way.
4. Cedar Grove-Belgium tops Manitowoc Lutheran 7-0 (sheboyganpress.com) — Manitowoc Lutheran’s baseball team was shut out 7–0 on the road by Cedar Grove-Belgium Tuesday night in Cedar Grove. A series of game photos captures key moments, including Manitowoc Lutheran pitching and fielding efforts against Cedar Grove-Belgium’s aggressive offense.
