• Wilsey dazzles in Miss Amazing National Summit (gazettextra.com) — Marinette resident Katie Wilsey has been named National First Runner-up in the Miss Amazing pageant’s Miss Division, after earlier winning the Miss Amazing Wisconsin title. Active at Marinette’s Community REC Center and in Special Olympics, she’s also helping shape a 2027 documentary series that recently filmed in town, highlighting her advocacy and creative work for people with disabilities.
   

• Technical Discrepancies Delay Delivery of Multi-Mission Warships to Saudi Arabia (defensemirror.com) — Warships being built for Saudi Arabia at Fincantieri Marinette Marine’s Wisconsin shipyard are facing delivery delays due to technical discrepancies and additional engineering work. Corrections will be handled at other U.S. facilities through 2031, leaving the schedule for all four Multi-Mission Surface Combatant ships uncertain despite the lead vessel’s 2025 launch in Wisconsin.
   

• Wisconsin Navy veteran who survived Pearl Harbor attack dies at age 104 (stripes.com) — A Pearl Harbor survivor born in Marinette, Rolland Briar, has died at age 104 in Green Bay after a long life that included service aboard the USS Whitney during the 1941 attack. Raised in Marinette before enlisting in the Navy, he later worked as an accountant; his funeral with full military honors is planned in Green Bay this weekend.
