AMERY NATIVE INDUCTED INTO PRESTIGIOUS BOUCHET GRADUATE HONOR SOCIETY

(CHICAGO) (May 8, 2013)—Ameila Justice, a doctoral student at The Chicago School of Professional Psychology (TCSPP) and Amery native, was inducted into the prestigious Edward A. Bouchet Graduate Honor Society. The Bouchet Society recognizes outstanding scholarly achievement and promotes diversity and excellence in doctoral education and the professoriate. The Bouchet Graduate Honor Society was inaugurated by Yale University and Howard University in 2005, and now exceeds 200 members. The Chicago School of Professional Psychology is the nation’s largest nonprofit graduate institution devoted to psychology and related behavioral and health sciences.

Justice is currently a doctoral candidate in the Applied Clinical Psychology program at TCSPP, Chicago campus. Her dissertation research explores relationship formation in modern society. Justice graduated Magna Cum Laude with full honors from Northern Michigan University in Marquette, majoring in psychology, French, and theatre, with a minor in political science. She graduated from Amery High School with a 4.0 GPA and participated in many extracurricular activities and groups including French Club, 4-H, sports and theatre. She was a member of the National Honor Society.

Justice is 1 of 33 students from TCSPP inducted into a network of pre-eminent scholars exemplifying academic and personal merit, character, service and advocacy for students who have been traditionally underrepresented in the academy.
