Betty Brunner, Vice President of Operations for Alden, is quoted in the newest edition of Quintessential Barrington magazine. The magazine is distributed to nearly 80,000 households in Barrington and neighboring northwest Chicago suburbs.
Brunner contributed to the article, “Your Road to Recovery: Coordinated Care.” The piece highlights the importance of coordinated care in health care today and the seamless transition between health care settings that is needed to ensure a continuum of care.
“By 2020, about 157 million Americans will have at least one chronic medical condition,” says Brunner. “These patients will need personalized attention and seamless transitions from one health care setting to another – something not offered in today’s health care environment. That is why care coordination is so important among health care providers, including rehabilitation centers such as Alden.”
