On July 21 and 22, 2012, the Menomonee Falls Historical Society will host the 15th annual Civil War Encampment and Battle on the grounds of Old Falls Village located on the corner of Pilgrim Road and County Line Rd. Stroll the grounds from 10-5 on Saturday and 10-4 on Sunday to see the encampments of the Union and Confederate soldiers as well as civilian life. Enjoy a historic battle between the North and the South re-enacted with cannon fire at 2:00 PM both days.
The Historical Timekeepers, a local Civilian Civil War Re-enacting group will be one of the groups attending the event. They portray life at the home front during the Civil War and educate the public about life during the mid-1800s. Talk with the re-enactors and learn about history through one of the characters depicted.
