Menomonee Falls, WI – In 1974, Cory Mankowski joined the Laureate Group as a part-time LPN. She was looking for a nice part-time job while her children were little. By 1986, Mankowski opened Oak Hill Terrace in Waukesha as the Executive Director. She then went on to open several more Laureate Group communities until she settled at The Arboretum in Menomonee Falls in 1990. She is the only Executive Director that The Arboretum has ever had.
Beth Anderson, Laureate Group’s Executive Vice President describes Cory as an intelligent, hard-working and compassionate individual. “She is one of the trail blazers who helped older adults, their families, business professionals, bankers, clergy, medical professionals and many others understand the benefits of independent and assisted living,” comments Anderson. Over the years, Mankowski has touched thousands of people throughout her career and has always managed with the best interests of the residents, their families and her employees at heart.
This month, Cory will be retiring after a 38 year career in long-term care with the Laureate Group. Cory will pass on the torch to Mary Milliren, RN, who will succeed her as Executive Director of The Arboretum.
