Alden at Fort HealthCare, the sub-acute unit
located on the second floor of Fort Memorial Hospital, recently named Karen Boyle, RN-BSN, as its Director of Nursing. Boyle will be responsible for managing the day-to-day nursing operations at the facility, which specializes in post-acute rehabilitation and recovery.
Boyle has nearly 25 years of nursing experience, working as a registered nurse (RN) at various subacute units in the greater Milwaukee area. She also is wound care certified, obtaining her certification in September 2010.
“Karen is able to pull from all of her different nursing experiences over the years and brings a skill set many other DONs do not have to make sure our nurses demonstrate a certain level of expertise not found at other subacute centers,” says Ashley Wilson, administrator, Alden at Fort HealthCare.

Boyle received her bachelor’s degree in nursing from Marian College in Fond du Lac, Wis.
“I have spent my entire career in health care taking care of people. I look forward to ensuring our patients receive the highest quality of nursing,” says Boyle.

Boyle lives in Fort Atkinson with her husband and two children.
