
Interfaith Senior Programs, RSVP (Retired and Senior Volunteer Program) is set to host an Intergenerational Folk Art Fair at St. John’s Lutheran School in Lannon on Tuesday, January 17th. The event will run from 9:30 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. Students will engage with RSVP volunteers in a fun, learning atmosphere discovering hobbies and collections of old.
Exhibits vary based on volunteer availability. A sampling of exhibits; “Language of the Fan”, “Rock Hounds”, Thumbprint Art, Constructing a Log Cabin, Leather Craft, Stamp Collector, Buck Skinner, and old time tools. Special attractions include a bag piper, ventriloquist and Playin’ Folk band.
RSVP is a nationwide Senior Corps volunteer program that invites individuals age 55 and over to use their wisdom, experiences and skills to assist nonprofit and government agencies. To learn about volunteer opportunities visit www.interfaithwaukesha.org.
