GENERAL FUNCTIONS of a Youth Development Volunteer:
Under the direction of the Youth Development Leader and in accordance with Association policies, the Youth Development Volunteer is responsible for assisting the Program Manager in leading the Youth Development curriculum and activities. The volunteer is also responsible for the safety of all participants and in creating a fun, safe, healthy environment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist in managing youth & family programs.
- Assist in the supervision of the participant’s to ensure appropriate development occurs in a fun, healthy and safe environment.
- Interact with youth through activities.
- Assist in providing instruction at events, activities, and programs.
- Ensures that daily care of members is a key priority.
- Assist in setting up and taking down of equipment before and after games, programs, events, and classes.
- Responsible for strict adherence to all policies and procedures related to safety and conduct rules and other regulations.
Requirements:EDUCATION and or EXPERIENCE:
•Experience working with youth.
•Creativity, initiative, flexibility, eagerness to seek out and involve others and genuine concern for today’s youth are essential.
