"Rally for the Bugline!"

 On Saturday, "Friends of the Bugline" hosted a "Rally for the Bugline" in hopes of continuing to inform citizens of the Waukesha Co. Parks plan to pave the Bugline Trail and to collect more signatures on our petition. 

Many members of the "Snowbugs" snowmobile club set up signs on Hwy 74 in Lannon by the trail and there was an overwhelming response by passers-by to stop this project. 

One man said his wife had stopped and signed our petition and she went home and told her husband to "get over there right away and sign!"  Another man said his neighbor alerted him to come by and sign. 

Many who stopped took blank petitions to collect signatures.  Some said they were going to take the petition to their church the next day.  Those who stopped were all outraged at the idea of paving the trail and of course, they had no idea this is in the works. 

They want to know "whose stupid idea is this?" 

After only three hours on the trail, we collected another 150 signatures.  That puts us up to about 850 with many more still being collected as I type!  What will it take for our "public servants" to listen to THE PUBLIC!  I am getting many requests from people who want petitions sent to them and others want to sign.  People are also asking when the next "rally" will be.  We are looking into this and will keep you posted.  You can contact me at:  buglinesaver@gmail.com if you have any questions.
