Smashed Woman Faces Charges After Smashing Head Into Dresser
A Falls woman was charged with bail jumping after police found her sleeping in bed with a blood alcohol level of 0.35.

A 48-year-old Menomonee Falls woman is facing jail time after she allegedly got drunk and smashed her head into a dresser inside her home.
Debra L. Schroeter was charged in Waukesha County Circuit Court Monday with one count of bail jumping and one count of felony bail jumping. If convicted, she faces up to nearly seven years in prison and $20,000 in fines.

On Friday, a man went to Schroeterβs home in the on Cherokee Drive and found her lying on the ground with broken glass all around her. The man suspected she had hit her head on the dresser, so he later called police and asked they do a welfare check on her.
When officers arrived they found Schroeter sleeping in bed, but highly intoxicated. She told them she had been drinking vodka, then submitted to a Breathalyzer test, which revealed a blood alcohol level of 0.35.

Schroeter was charged in Washington County Circuit Court on Aug. 6 with one count of hit and run, a felony count of eluding an officer in a vehicle. Schroeter posted her $1,200 bond on Aug. 10 for those offenses, but absolute sobriety was a condition of her bail.
Sheβs currently being held in Waukesha County Jail on $2,500 bond while awaiting trial.
