UPDATE: Husband of Slain Officer Charged with 1st-Degree Homicide

Formal charges have been filed against Benjamin Sebena of Menomonee Falls expected in the Christmas Eve murder of his wife, a Wauwatosa police officer.

Benjamin Sebena, the husband of slain police officerΒ Jennifer Sebena, was charged Thursday afternoon in a brazen Christmas Eve morning attack as she was on patrol.Β 

The Milwaukee County District Attorney charged Benjamin Sebena withΒ first-degree intentional homicideΒ in the shooting death of his 30-year-old wife, who was struck by multiple gunshotsΒ early Monday morning in the parking lot of the Wauwatosa Fire Station.

The couple lived on Ranch Road in Menomonee Falls.

Sebena was taken into custody some time Christmas DayΒ and was transferred that night to the West Allis Police Department after questioning. Today's TMJ4 cites unnamed sources in reporting thatΒ Ben Sebena confessed to authoritiesΒ that he killed his wife.

Jennifer Sebena's funeralΒ will be Saturday atΒ Elmbrook Church, 777 S. Barker Rd., Brookfield.Β Visitation at the church will be from 9 a.m. to noon, with the service immediately following.

Interment will then be atΒ Wisconsin Memorial Park, 13235 W. Capitol Dr., Brookfield.Β All agencies participating in the squad procession to Wisconsin Memorial Park will assemble at Elmbrook Church by noon.
