Man Accused of Stealing Car From Falls Gas Station
A Milwaukee man is accused of stealing a car from a Falls gas station while the owner went inside to buy candy.

A 19-year-old Milwaukee man is accused of stealing a car while its owner was getting gas at a Menomonee Falls gas station.
James T. Young was charged in charged in Waukesha County Circuit Court Monday with one count of operating a motor vehicle without the ownerβs consent and one count of bail jumping. If convicted, he faces up to 45 months in prison and $20,000 in fines.

At 5:26 p.m. Nov. 26, a man was filling up his Lincoln at a BP station and paid at the pump, left the keys in the ignition, then decided to go into the gas station to buy some candy. When he came back out, the man found his car was missing and the gas pump lying on the ground.
Video surveillance showed Young and another man get into the car and drive off.

Young was arrested by a Milwaukee police officer driving the stolen car on Fond du Lac Avenue the next day. Young claimed he got the car from a man named Rico the night before and denied knowing it was stolen.
Young is currently being held in Waukesha County Jail on $1,000 bond while awaiting trial.Β
