Sheboygan Man Caught Attempting to Meet Teen For Sex in Falls

A 39-year-old Sheboygan man is facing charges after he was caught in a Menomonee Falls police sting after he allegedly tried to meet up with a 14-year-old girl for sex.

Paul H. Grade was charged in Waukesha County Circuit Court Monday with one count of use of a computer to facilitate a child sex crime. If convicted, he faces up to 40 years in prison and $100,000 in fines.

According to the criminal complaint:

On July 26, an undercover Menomonee Falls police officer was posing as a 14-year-old girl in a flirting chart room on the website www.teenchatcenter.com, when Grade initiated a conversation under the name “Wisconsindude.”

Grade asked what he thought was a teen girl if she liked to have sex with older men, then asked for pictures. After they exchanged photos, Grade and the detective switched over to a Yahoo messenger chat, where he said he always fantasized about having sex with a teen girl because he heard it was fun.

He also said he was married, but was looking for some “fun on the side,” so he was willing to drive to Menomonee Falls to meet with the girl. When the detective asked if he would wear a condom during the rendezvous, Grade said he didn’t need to.

The next day, they agreed to meet at a Menomonee Falls restaurant and when Grade parked in the parking lot, he was approached by officers.

Grade admitted he came to the area to meet up for sex with a teen girl, but said he doubted he would actually go through with it if a girl had been there. He said he often goes to teen chat rooms to talk with underage girls and also goes to pornography sites and looks for pictures of the youngest possible girls.

Grade said he has a problem with serious sexual deviancy and needs help.

Investigators then talked with Grade's wife who said she was unaware her husband was talking with underage girls, but she wasn’t surprised by his arrest because she feels he has been “eyeing up” young girls for some time and she even noticed his actions when Grade would be with his niece.

Grade is currently free on $2,500 bail and a $10,000 signature bond while awaiting trial.
