• DeMuth named as Eau Claire Area Chamber president (leadertelegram.com) — Menomonie residents will soon see a leadership change at their Chamber, as CEO Ashley DeMuth transitions to lead the Eau Claire Area Chamber while Menomonie’s board searches for her replacement. She’ll stay through Sept. 11 to ensure a smooth handoff and help protect the strategic progress and investor relationships built over the past six years. • Plane crash in Dunn County: 2 hurt after takeoff from Boyceville Municipal Airport (dailydispatch.com) — Dunn County authorities are investigating a Sunday plane crash near Boundary Road, where a small aircraft went down shortly after taking off from Boyceville Municipal Airport. Menomonie Fire and Ambulance joined other local agencies to treat a pilot from Sioux Falls and a passenger from Marshfield, who were both hospitalized with injuries. Federal investigators are now working to determine what caused the crash.
