• How a lone bagpiper honors fallen Wisconsin officers (wtmj.com) — Mequon residents can join a solemn “Midnight Piper” tribute outside the local police department at 11:55 p.m. on Wednesday, May 13, honoring fallen officers with a live performance of Amazing Grace. The statewide National Police Week tradition now includes 22 Wisconsin communities, each with a lone piper playing three symbolic verses as the final notes fade into the night.
