ā¢ Ozaukee County Board seeking applicants for supervisor of Mequon area (gmtoday.com) ā Mequon residents in wards 5, 15 and 17 are getting a new Ozaukee County Board representative, and the county is now accepting applications to fill the vacant District 21 seat. The appointed supervisor will help set county policies and tax levels, so interested locals can find application forms and district maps online. Officials hope to choose the new supervisor by October 7.

ā¢ FDA Announces Recall of Fromm Dog Food Over Possible Metal Contamination (goodhousekeeping.com) ā A Mequon-based company, Fromm Family Foods, has recalled thousands of cans of its Turkey PĆ¢tĆ© and Miloās Meatloaf PĆ¢tĆ© dog foods over possible metal contamination. The affected cans were sold nationwide and online, but no injuries have been reported. Local pet owners should check UPCs, lot codes, and best-by dates, contact their vet if dogs show symptoms, and return unopened cans to retailers. Ā Ā Ā
