4 Self-Quarantined In Milwaukee For Possible Coronavirus Exposure

MILWAUKEE, WI — Four individuals who recently traveled to China are under a voluntary home quarantine due to possible exposure to the new coronavirus, according to reports. The quarantine is being done as a precaution, health officials told WTMJ in Milwaukee.
Milwaukee city officials did not disclose where in China the four individuals traveled and how long they've been in quarantine, WTMJ reported.
The first case of the new coronavirus — or COVID-19 — in Wisconsin was confirmed in early February. The patient who tested positive was an adult who traveled to Beijing before being infected and was exposed to known cases in China.

COVID-19 is caused by a member of the coronavirus family that's a close cousin to the SARS and MERS viruses that have caused outbreaks in the past. The symptoms are similar to seasonal influenza, according to Johns Hopkins Medicine.
As of Feb. 28, there are 15 confirmed cases of coronavirus in the United States, according to the CDC's website. Nearly 460 people have been tested.
