4. Brewers postseason buzz spotted at Milwaukee's National Bakery (wisn.com) — Milwaukee's National Bakery on the south side is hustling to keep up with demand for Brewers-themed cookies, cakes, and even blue-and-yellow bread as postseason excitement builds. 5. Milwaukee residents evacuated from unsafe apartments face homelessness (wisn.com) — Dozens of residents from two apartment buildings at 23rd and Michigan in Milwaukee are scrambling for housing after city inspectors abruptly evacuated them over serious safety violations, leaving some on the brink of homelessness. Tenants describe sleeping in cars, relying on churches for short hotel stays, and confusion over deposits and new rent charges as the property manager works on repairs with no clear return date.
