Fatal Gas Station Beating Video Released; Police Search for Suspect
Police are asking for the public's help to locate a man implicated in the fatal beating of a BP gas station attendant in Milwaukee.

MILWAUKEE, WI — Milwaukee police have released surveillance video footage and still photos of a terrifying scene in Milwaukee this week in which a BP gas station employee was beaten to death by the same shoplifter he initially chased from his store.

Milwaukee police have identified the Milwaukee BP gas station employee who died after chasing a shoplifting suspect out of his store. According to a report from WISN 12 this morning, police have identified the man as 34-year-old Harjinder Singh, of Milwaukee.

A witness at the scene said that Singh initially chased after the suspect out of the BP gas station store with a baseball bat, and later threw it at him as he left the store. That decision proved tragic for Singh, after the suspect retrieved the bat, then went after him. The killer then beat Singh to death, WISN has learned.

It is not known whether the suspect was in fact shoplifting, nor what he may have stolen from the store.
Milwaukee Police is investigating the incident.
This is the second incident reported at a BP gas station in two days, after it was reported that a masked man pointed a gun directly at a store employee's head during an armed robbery in Waukesha.
