Read Value Penguin's full report to learn what the leading factors are that inflate or depress car insurance rates. It has a lot to do with a person's driving record, but it also has a lot to do with the community in which you live.

Methodology

Value Penguin collected quotes from a variety of insurance companies across 66 towns and cities in Wisconsin. Our sample driver was a 30 year old male who drove a 2011 Toyota Camry. To obtain quotes, we kept parameters for getting coverage the same, such as that he was single, had a good credit score and a clean driving record. The only parameter that changed was the zip code where he lived in Wisconsin.
