Schools will remain closed until further notice. To support families who rely on school meals, the district will continue to distribute packaged breakfasts and lunches at 20 Stop, Grab, and Go sites across the city. Meals will be distributed on weekdays from 11 A.M. to 1 P.M. Important: No meals will be distributed on Friday, April 10, due to a scheduled district holiday. Meals will again be available starting Monday, April 13, 2020. A list of distribution sites can be found on the MPS COVID-19 Updates web page.

Families who have questions about continued learning or district matters should contact their child’s teacher or principal, who will share questions with district staff as needed.

Although this week marks the scheduled spring break, keep learning! A number of zoos, museums, and parks offer virtual tours. Many are free and some charge a fee. These experiences can offer a change of pace and exciting virtual travel while Wisconsin remains Safer at Home. Access a list of virtual tours provided by Good Housekeeping magazine.

Superintendent Keith P. Posley and the entire MPS staff urge you to stay safe! Please continue to wash hands and practice social distancing. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) now recommends that individuals cover their faces when out in public in places where social distancing may be difficult. Read more about this important update on the CDC website. This page includes instructions to make face coverings from household items such as a bandana or t-shirt.

We look forward to welcoming everyone back to school after this crisis has passed.
