The Concert Chorale, made up of sophomores, juniors, and seniors from Milwaukee High School of the Arts, taped their performances at the Irish Cultural and Heritage Center of Wisconsin. The program features various historic and unique Milwaukee venues throughout the show.
Students are featured singing two selections in the program: a setting of the liturgical Ave Maria text by R. Nathaniel Dett, a prolific African-American composer of the early 20th century; and Jenga, Imani Yako, a winter folk song from Tanzania, sung in Swahili.

Director Raymond Roberts is grateful for the opportunity to showcase these students to such a large viewing audience in the Milwaukee area. "These wonderful teenagers are terrific ambassadors for MHSA and MPS who work tirelessly in the pursuit of artistic and musical excellence,” he said. “You can't help but smile after hearing them share their musical gifts with anyone who will listen."
