Milwaukee School Supplies Giveaway This Weekend
More than 75,000 book bags have been given away since the event began in 1994.
MILWAUKEE, WI — Parents looking to get school supplies for their children for the upcoming school year will want to know about this school supply giveaway this weekend.
At the 25th annual Back to School Day, officials from King Advisory, Inc. and Milwaukee County Parks will hand out free book bags and supplies to students and their families for the upcoming school year.
More than 75,000 book bags have been given away since the event began in 1994. The original event was started by former Milwaukee County Supervisor Beth Coggs. Supplies include book bags full of school supplies, reading books and clothing.

The 25th-Annual Back to School Day will be held on Saturday, Aug. 10 at King Park from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
