Vincent High Students Serve Friday Night Fish Fry In Milwaukee

The next fish fry will take place on March 27 at 5 p.m.

Culinary arts students at Harold S. Vincent High School will display their cooking talents by serving a Friday night fish fry on February 28 and March 27, 2020, from 5 to 7:30 p.m. in the school cafeteria. Diners can choose fried or baked cod along with a choice of potato (baked or French fries), homemade cole slaw, rye bread, and a beverage. Dinners are $10 and no-bake cheesecake with fruit topping will be available for $2. Plates for children, with a choice of chicken nuggets or fish, will be sold for $6.

Carry-out orders will be available. All sales will be cash only.

All proceeds will support Vincent’s culinary arts program and agriculture program. Agriculture teachers will be on hand to answer questions and provide tours of the school.

Vincent High School has the only agriculture program in Milwaukee county and is one of only four MPS high schools to offer culinary arts. Students work with goats, chickens, sheep, and a horse, take part in gathering and selling eggs, operate a greenhouse, manufacture candles, lip balm, and lotion, and learn the process of food production from farm to table.

Vincent High School is located at 7501 N. Granville Road in Milwaukee.
