Authorities say Blair Springfield, 28, of Milwaukee, faces 10 charges related to the September McDonald's incident and recent tow lot case.

MILWAUKEE, WI -- Authorities in Milwaukee County say the woman who drove drunk and left her child overnight in a Milwaukee tow lot was the same person who earlier passed out in the drive-through of a McDonald's with five children in the back of her vehicle.
Authorities say Blair Springfield, 28, of Milwaukee, faces 10 charges related to the September McDonald's incident and the more recent drunk driving incident in November.
On Nov. 12, police responded to the 3900 block of W. Forest Home on a report that Springfield parked her vehicle illegally on the side of the road.

When officers arrived, they reported that she was slumped over the wheel and nearly fell out of the van and needed to be lifted back into her seat.
According to the criminal complaint, Springfield had been smoking marijuana and consumed a half-pint of vodka before getting behind the wheel. After Springfield was arrested, the vehicle was towed to a Milwaukee County tow lot. According to police accounts, Springfield failed to mention that her daughter had been asleep in the back of the van at the time it was being towed from the scene.

The next morning, an employee from the tow lot contacted Milwaukee Police, saying that Springfield's 4-year-old daughter was discovered by a passing garbage truck just before 8 a.m. the next morning.
According to police reports, Springfield's daughter woke up inside the van and was crying for her mother when the garbage-truck driver picked her up.
According to police in Milwaukee County, officers responded to a McDonald's on 2700 W. Capitol Drive on September 8 on a report that Springfield fell asleep in the restaurant's drive-through with children in the back seat.
When officers arrived they found her unconscious and unresponsive in the drive-through. First responders reported administering Narcan — a powerful drug reversal agent — in order to revive her. Two 4-year-olds, a 1-year-old, a 5-year-old and a 7-year-old were reportedly all in the back seat at the time of the incident.
Police reported that Springfield had multiple empty bottles of vodka within her reach from behind the wheel at the time. When authorities submitted Springfield to a blood draw, her blood alcohol concentration came back as 0.243 — more than three times the legal limit for drunk driving in Wisconsin.
According to court documents, Springfield faces up to nine years prison on the felony charges against her. Springfield is currently out on a $1,500 cash bond and is due back in court on Nov. 27 for her preliminary hearing.
