“I look forward to the challenge of working with the 14 athletic directors and
principals in the Woodland Conference as the conference takes its next steps. The Woodland
Conference’s unique blend of schools and talented student-athletes deserve a top-notch
experience both on and off the fields and courts of competition. My intention is to find ways to
accomplish that by focusing the conference administration on best practices in the years
ahead.”

Schimpf was a founding member and former president of the Wisconsin Basketball Officials Association. He has nearly 16 years of experience in supporting high school athletics, primarily basketball, the news release said.
