City Wants To Hear From Renters In 'Renters Roundtable'
City officials in Racine say they want to hear from people who rent in order to determine potential changes in the city's housing policy.

RACINE, WI — City officials in Racine are hosting a roundtable discussion later this month as they prepare to investigate whether to make changes in the city's housing policy.
Racine Mayor Cory Mason is hosting the city's first Renters Roundtable at 5:30 pm on Monday, August 5 at the Racine Public Library. The Mayor, who will be joined by members of the Common Council, are interested in hearing from Racine’s renters about their experiences renting in the City.
"Before the City can considers policy changes to improve rental housing in Racine, elected officials and city staff need to hear directly from renters about their experiences," the Mayor's office said in a statement Thursday. “I want to ensure that all of our City’s residents have access to safe, quality, affordable housing. The Renters Roundtable is a great opportunity for renters to share their experiences directly with policy makers so that we can make informed decisions about the changing needs of housing policy in Racine."
