'Curious George' Opens Racine Children's Theater Season

The adventure-filled musical, "Curious George and the Golden Meatball," opens the Racine Children's Theatre's 85th season.

RACINE, WI — The adventure-filled musical, “Curious George and the Golden Meatball,” opens the Racine Children's Theatre's 85th season.

"Curious George" is performed by Horlick Theatre Arts. Directed by
Katie Kowbel, the cast includes Evan Klinkhammer, Logan Munoz, Juliana Garcia-Malacara, Rayven Craft, Jamie Faz, Sara Sandgren, and Nora Schultz. The crew includes Winston Brown, Brynn Wastradowski, Gavin Tresider, and Sarah Kozenski.

In the story, George has been waiting all month for the day, almost bigger than his birthday. On Meatball Day, George helps his friend, Chef Pisghetti, cook some delicious meatballs and serve them to the hungry crowd. But this year, the crowd has vanished. Determined to help his friend, George goes on a mission to enter the Chef’s meatballs in the world-famous Golden Meatball Contest in Rome.

Packy, the RCT elephant mascot, will greet the audience at each performance. Afterwards, children have the chance to meet the cast and get pictures and autographs.

Performances take place on Friday, October 6 at 5:30 and 7:30 p.m. and Saturday, October 7 and Sunday, October 8 at 12, 2, and 4 p.m.

Individual tickets are $6 each for children and adults with general seating for each performance.
