Meet Jeremy Ryan, First Congressional District Candidate
Jeremy Ryan is running as a Republican in the Wisconsin First Congressional District primary on Tuesday, Aug. 14. Here is what he has to say

BELLEVILLE, WI — Republican Jeremy Ryan is running for Wisconsin's First Congressional District, an office that several candidates are pursuing now that incumbent Paul Ryan has announced his decision not to run again.
Jeremy Ryan ran against Paul Ryan in the 2014 Republican primary and was defeated. Ryan also ran in the 2012 election for Wisconsin State Assembly District 76, though did not win the seat. According to Ballotpedia, Jeremy Ryan "is known around the state capitol as a professional protester and political provocateur. He is the executive director of Defending Wisconsin Political Action Committee, a PAC that was involved with the 2012 recall attempt against Scott Walker, Rebecca Kleefisch and J.B. Van Hollen."
The Republican Primary vote takes place on Tuesday, Aug. 14, 2018.

Please characterize where you fall on the political spectrum (liberal/moderate/conservative, etc.):
I would characterize myself as a Progressive which I believe appeals to both sides of the aisle. People of all stripes who hear me speak or read my interviews agree with most of what I have to say.
Please describe your relevant political experience:
I have been a political activist in Constitutional rights activism (particularly 1st and 4th Amendment) since 2011. But I am not a polished and groomed politician. I'm a regular guy which is what we need.
Please talk about the top 1 or 2 leading issues in your campaign and how you plan to approach them if elected:
Legalize Cannabis - Allow billions of dollars in extra tax revenue and even more billions in prison and enforcement savings. Enough is enough I'm the only candidate strongly pushing for this.
Shift tax breaks from giant corporations to small and medium sized businesses - End the days when GE can move hundreds of jobs from just outside the district and still pay nothing in taxes while family farms and main street businesses pay up to 35 percent.
