• Foxconn Claims It Will Add 700 Jobs in Wisconsin (urbanmilwaukee.com) — Foxconn is seeking village approval to renovate its Mount Pleasant facility and add about 700 production jobs by mid-2027, expanding a campus that already employs over 1,000 people. The Mount Pleasant Plan Commission has recommended approval, and village officials say no new local tax-increment financing is expected for this phase of the project.
   

• Mount Pleasant woman accused of running over and killing man in Racine (wisn.com) — A 22-year-old Mount Pleasant woman is charged with homicide by intoxicated use of a vehicle after a man was fatally run over during an argument in Racine early September 20. Court records describe conflicting accounts of how the victim ended up under the car and note that officers reported signs of intoxication during field sobriety tests. Cash bond was set at $15,000.
   

• S.O.L.E.'s Racine Policeman's Ball Honors K9s October 10, 2026 (racinecountyeye.com) — Mount Pleasant residents will see their local K9, Grizzly, honored alongside other Racine County police dogs at the Racine Policeman's Ball on Oct. 10. The fundraiser at Festival Hall supports K9 units, officer wellness, and community programs, and organizers are still seeking sponsors and raffle donations through Sept. 30.
