RACINE, WI — A week after the owners of The Yardarm announced they're selling to a new owner, another Downtown Racine fixture will be closing with something new taking its place.

According to a Journal Times report, Ricky's Place, 236 Main Street, will be closing its doors on March 30 after 26 years in operation.

According to the report, owner Rick Smetana said he's closing the bar to focus on his new restaurant, Richard's Bar and BBQ, 3458 Rapids Drive. A country bar will be opening in the Ricky's Place spot later this year according to the report.
