Walker Appoints Fredrickson To Replace Constantine On Bench

Gov. Scott Walker has named a replacement for retired judge Charles Constantine on the Racine County Circuit Court.

RACINE COUNTY, WI -- Gov. Scott Walker has named Milwaukee-area attorney Jon Fredrickson to serve as a judge on the Racine County Circuit Court, replacing retiring Judge Charles Constantine.

Over the last 19 years, Fredrickson has served as lead counsel in litigation matters involving business and insurance contracts, business fraud, professional and legal malpractice, industrial and home products, post-merger corporate liability, real estate, health insurance, employment law, workers compensation, toxic torts, employment law, personal injury, and premises liability, the Governor's office has reported.

Fredrickson received his juris doctor, with honors, from Marquette University, and his undergraduate degree from the University of Southern California, Marshall School of Business. He resides in Caledonia with his wife Sarah, and their two children.

At least for the time being, Fredrickson replaces Constantine, a born-and-raised Racine resident who spent 22 years on the bench after making the decision to run back in 1995.

When talking about his retirement, Constantine was colorfully quoted in the Journal Times: “To me, it’s like you are a nice rock on the edge of Lake Michigan, with waves brushing up against you,” Constantine said. “At first, the waves don’t seem to have any impact at all, but as the waves keep coming, over and over again, you get worn down.”
