Description: It’s back! OOHPs’ sketches deliver lots of silliness and satire. By “original,” we mean all of these sketches will be written by Over Our Head Players. By “sketches,” we mean short pieces with minimal technical elements. And by “comedies,” we mean funny! Once again, we’ll feature live music from some top musicians. From the folks who pen the popular Snowdance hijinks, Theatre/Schmeatre is sure to sell out.
A Behanding in Spokane - Comedy by Martin McDonagh
What: A misfired scam arouses sadistic and imaginative anger
When: December 2, 3, 4; Dec. 9, 10, 11; Dec. 16, 17, 18
Description: Carmichael has been searching for his missing left hand for almost half a century. Toby and Marilyn, two bickering lovebirds, claim to have his long-lost appendage. They meet in a small town hotel, where Merwyn works reception and has an aversion for gunfire. Life and death are up for grabs, and fate is governed by imbeciles and madmen in this darkly comic new play. Like a farce, it moves rapidly from comic shock to comic shock.
