• Lettuce learn about growing (gmtoday.com) — Prairie View Elementary in Mukwonago is growing its own lettuce with a new Fork Farm hydroponic tower donated by the Mukwonago Rotary Club using 2025 Jack-O-Lantern Jaunt proceeds. Students in the Environmental Club handle planting, testing water, and harvesting greens for school lunches, turning healthy eating into a hands-on lesson from seed to salad.

• Warhawks make it clean sweep against state's best at host meet (gmtoday.com) — Mukwonago track and field athletes turned in strong performances at Arrowhead’s elite Myrhum Invite, with the girls finishing second overall and standout sprinter Laela Presendofer winning three events. Several other Mukwonago athletes placed highly in relays, hurdles, jumps, and pole vault, competing against many of the state’s top programs just ahead of the championship stretch.

• Waukesha County beaches open for 2026 season (gmtoday.com) — If you’re ready for summer, Mukwonago Park’s beach is now open for the 2026 season with swim-at-your-own-risk hours from sunrise to sunset. Waukesha County has also opened five other park beaches, all scheduled to stay open through late September, weather and water conditions permitting.
