Tess Corners Elementary Kids Vote on Election Day Too!

Tess Corners Elementary School promotes voting by having the students participate in an all-school election.

Yes, that's right - Tess Corners Elementary School is having the kids vote at school.

But instead of a political election, we are making it fun and educational.

We will be teaching the kids about what voting is and how to do it, while at the same time promoting fun and raising awareness of those in need in our community.

Tess Corners Elementary typically has about 3 Food Drives every school year to help the Muskego Food Pantry supply food to local families in need; our second one will be Friday, November 16th.

We typically give the children the option of wearing crazy hair, crazy hat, or crazy socks on the day they bring a non-perishable food item to the school to donate.

The election will decide what the school Principal, Kris Kuenstler, and the teachers and staff will wear on the day of the Food Drive, and we're hoping it will be a lot of fun.

We are turning the teacher’s lounge into a polling location. We will also be handing ballots out, creating "polling booths", and handing out an “I Voted – Kids Vote Too!” sticker to each student that votes.
