Women's Business Connections Invites You to Join Them April 23, or Take "A Walk in the Parks"

Women's Business Connections is hosting a community event "A Walk in the Parks" this spring. Next networking and educational meeting is April 23rd.

Women’s Business Connections (WBC), an arm of the Muskego Chamber of Commerce, offers women the opportunity for networking, business education, joint marketing and resource sharing. The fledgling group is also ready to get the whole community involved outside and in Muskego's parks - all of them.

WBC is proudly announcing its first community event:  A Walk in the Parks

Look for a bingo card in the middle of the Muskego Parks and Recreation Guide coming out next week.  The bingo card encourages families to get outside and be active together this summer by exploring Muskego’s parks and offering numerous special activities in our parks.  Participants will stamp their cards after visiting each of our parks and will be eligible to win prizes by submitting completed cards to the Chamber of Commerce

WBC offers its members and guests training, education and information sharing. At the March meeting, Denise Konkol, editor of the Muskego Patch, led a training session on using and maximizing the effectiveness of Facebook pages to get the word out about one’s business.

The next WBC meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, April 23, 11:45am-2:00pm at the Muskego Public Library. Each woman in attendance will be invited to give a brief “elevator speech” about themselves, their business, or any other topic they’d like to share.  In April, these speeches should relate to the topic “women” (for example, how one’s business serves or benefits women, etc.)

In addition to open networking and individual elevator speeches, there will be a mini-program by financial advisor Katie Orvis of Edward Jones on real life finances for business women and Shelley Carpenter will teach a yoga at your desk pose and yoga breathing for stress relief. Members of the Muskego Chamber are welcome to join WBC.  All women are welcome to come give it a try before deciding to join.
