Chiaverotti Wins Mayoral Race
Larger than expected turnout helps Muskego's first woman take the mayor's chair.
Kathy Chiaverotti had won by a large margin in the primary, yet her opponents' combined total could have made the general election interesting. However, the numbers that came in suggested that Luke Hudock did not capture the votes Scott Dickmann had brought to the table.
Voters turned out big for an off-year election, with a highly-advertised judicial campaign fueling voter's interests, and it appeared to work in Chiaverotti's favor, as 63% gave her the nod as Muskego's next mayor. Final vote tallies were 4,933 for Chiaverotti, and 2,889 votes cast for Hudock.
Chiaverotti will succeed John Johnson, who is retiring, and becomes Muskego's first woman to lead the city. Her swearing in will take place on April 19.
