CITY MALL: One Dream, One Saucy New Restaurant for Muskego

"Sauced," a new sports bar and pizzeria, opens up with an explosion of flavors and a dynamo at the helm.

Halley Karas trained at the Hyatt Hotels, moved into a managerial position at the Crowne Plaza Hotel where she still works, earned her college degree in 3 years while working full-time, and got a new restaurant ready for the public in a matter of months.

The result of the 25-year-old’s passion for business is a new restaurant and a tantalizing menu that includes 7 different pizza sauces, 29 dipping sauces for wings, fresh homemade jalapeno poppers and other eats like sandwiches, burgers, wraps, and “bombers.”

“Sauced” opened up on Thursday, June 9th on Woods Road and Bay Lane Drive, and Karas said her dream is to make the sports bar and pizzeria “the place in Muskego that people like to go.”

With a newly refurbished interior and a menu that focuses on fresh, homemade ingredients, Karas is an entrepreneur with every chance to attract a wide following.

Feedback has been good, Karas said, and diners have compared the restaurant to Matty’s Bar and Grill in New Berlin as a close competitor.

House specialties at Sauced include a wide selection of build-your-own pizzas and 13 “sauced” specialty pizzas like a DLX Cheese Supreme, Chicken Florentine with spinach, Thai Peanut Express, and Buffalo Chicken.

The dreams don’t stop at the door, though, Karas said.  She intends to build a successful carry out and delivery business within the city of Muskego and eventually, outdoor seating on site.

Sauced hours, including delivery service, are Monday-Thursday from 5-10 pm, Friday from 5-11 pm, Saturdays from 11 am to 11 pm and Sunday from 11 am to 9 pm.  Large parties may call 414-377-8100 for reservations.
